As I was lucky enough to be one of the featured pages at ScrapFriends a month ago, I was given the opportunity to be a "Guest Designer" for this months Sketch Challenge #8. What an amazing sketch and I had just the photo in mind; my daughter Lani scuba diving in Thailand. I love using water colour and being an under water "story" it was the perfect medium to play with. I'm a huge David Gray fan and the words "dancing with the swaying kelp' are from a song called Davey Jones' Locker ( bit of a sad song but I liked the words )
Watercolour, masking with Donna Salazar iNx, wire and liquid pearls.
Watercolour, a mask with texture paste, fussy cutting and some splatters of Lumiere pearlescent white.
This is so delicious. It popped out at me when I saw it. I love love what you have done with the sketch. I am working on mine at the moment. Just love SF sketches. My style for sure.

ReplyDeleteI really love your take on this sketch. So creative. So the question is my friend have you really danced with kelp.. I have. Well I really wouldn't call it dancing.... I would call it getting all tangled up and having to cut my way out of it. Sorta the same thing, RIGHT. Hee Hee..
