Coffee Page......

Back in July I played along on a Russian challenge blog called Paperdvizhnik: they have great sketches, an inspiring DT, and this month "local girl" Louise Nelson is their guest designer, yah Louise !!
Here's the sketch.

Any way I compiled a simple page about one of my favourite things; coffee. I love the smell of it, love drinking it, love making it at home, love coffee shops, love coffee machines, love buying different coffee beans and trying different flavours, I love the whole coffee culture.

I think coffee beans are like little, dark gems, hence the use of some "bling" bits.

The feather, that just happened to be the right colour, is a bit of whimsy, representing the lovely coffee aroma wafting up from the cup.

The drops and dribbles are actually coffee.........I know it's not strictly a " legitimate scrapbooking"  medium, not acid free and all that, but it is only a photo of a cup of coffee.
Anyway, Friday tomorrow, enjoy your week end whatever you're up to and thanks for dropping by.

  13. Mmmm! LOVE it when you go arty Gayle! how beautiful the background with the soft lacey white paper on the right combined with kraft to the left. That feather is pure genius, perfect as wafting aroma! How exquisite that little detail with the black rubbed-on flourish and that snipped of the handmade paper with the gold dito detail. Coffee makes the best stains, perfect shapes and colour. The bling is such a clever and awesome detail. Adore your page Gayle, just adore it!! xoxox
